The World Cup with Moroccan Eyes

Now that the world cup has ended with France as winner, it’s time to watch how Moroccans reacted to its events from what I’ve seen on the streets and what I heard from people and what was trending on social media. Everything started after the referee whistle at the end of the game of Morocco against Côte d’Ivoire in Abidjan declaring that Morocco is one of the 5 nations representing Africa in the World Cup. A draw would have been enough for the Moroccan national team, but they players went to Côte d’Ivoire with one goal in mind: win the game and prove that they deserve their ticket to Russia. Just after the game the streets in all Moroccan cities were filled with people celebration this win by chanting songs. Morocco didn’t sleep that night. Moroccan people waited for this achievement for 20 years since Morocco didn’t put a foot in the World Cup since 1998 in France. NBA Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers Are Back!

Game 4 started very well for Cavaliers who broke another record of the best scoring quarter in The NBA Finals history. Even though LeBron James didn't score much in the first quarter but the Cavs did a great teamwork both offensively and defensively.




The Cleveland Cavaliers didn't hold back in the second quarter. They were so strong that you almost couldn't see Golden State Warriors on the court. Cavs finished the first half by 86 to 68 with the most threes and points in a half in NBA Finals history.

By the game going on, Cavs did all it takes to keep the lead over Warriors
40 points for Kyrie Irving, a triple double for LeBron James (31 pts, 10 rbs, 11 pds) and 24 distance winners (record of the Finals) for Cleveland. Kevin Durant (35 pts) and company undergo their first defeat in these play-offs, the first all short since ... March 11th. They will have another opportunity to win their second title in three years on Monday at Oakland's Oracle Arena. Recall that the Warriors have already led 3-1 in the 2016 NBA Finals, before a historic turnaround that had seen the Cavaliers sacred at the end of the heats.
